How to get out of Dublin after Brexit June 15, 2021 June 15, 2021 admin

A new guide on how to leave Ireland after Brexit has been published by a US immigration law firm.

In a guide to the EU’s “exit strategy” for the country, US-based law firm Hirschmann & Zwicker offers tips for those considering a UK-style exit from the bloc.

“Brexit is a new challenge for Irish citizens and the EU is trying to create a new legal framework that can be used to ease the transition,” it says.

It also offers advice on the Irish economy, migration, tax, healthcare, pensions, and other issues.

The guide, which is available for free on the firm’s website, follows a call by the Irish Government to leave the EU.

Last week, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar warned that “we need to make sure we get out” of the bloc, adding that Brexit could leave the country “unable to have a relationship” with the EU after its withdrawal.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has called on the EU to do more to encourage a free trade deal between Ireland and the UK.

But a spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs said that while the Government is working to reach an agreement on the transition, there is currently no agreement on any specific agreement with the UK on matters relating to EU citizens.
